In the absence of light, darkness prevails. Without the light of God revealing our true identity, the bright and shining colors of our character remain hidden. The prevailing darkness convinces us of a lie that He’s distant. Still, He speaks over us that He desires that no one perish, but that everyone come to repentance. His Voice, a simple word of encouragement, breathes a brand-new life in us. His truth reveals our true innocent, pure, spotless identity that has been hidden beneath the heavy burden of life’s circumstances. In everything, His voice dominates the darkness, guiding us in understanding the real intended person He created us to be: a perfect child of God, a part of His overall flock, His family.
