‘Another in the Fire’
Oil on Panel 40″ x 60″
This piece is one of my most deeply personal. It represents my battle with Parkinson’s through a word that God spoke to me from the beginning. When it comes to the fiery trials of life we often wonder why or how God? We can easily forget His ability to walk us through the fire and can start to question his goodness and how big he really is. How much more powerful is it to know that He is with us in the middle of the fire? That He is not intimidated by it. That’s how big He is. It can be tough, at times very tough. Some of us are going through things that are difficult to even comprehend. Oftentimes, we stumble, we fall, and we aren’t perfect. But we can always get back up and lean on Him. His grace and mercy are much greater than our ability to fail. He calls us His children. We all have different journeys, paths, trials, tests, stumbling blocks, but in the end, the beauty of life is in that process. In that journey and in the end it will all be worth it. We will come out even stronger. He calls us more than conquerors!
